Yes, absolutely! EMDR can bring up strong emotions and can be tiring. With online EMDR, you don’t have to worry about driving home afterwards. You will already be in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Most of my clients prefer online EMDR instead of in person for this reason. From a true trauma focused approach, you can begin your self care routine immediately after the session.
From personal experience, I have also experienced EMDR as a client both in person and online. I prefer online EMDR therapy because it is nice to be on my own couch and I can journal and take a nap instead of immediately navigating traffic afterwards, which helps to continue the healing of trauma.
Online EMDR is just as effective (if not more so) than in person EMDR.

Also, BONUS…you get to have your furry loved one on your lap with your favorite coffee mug in your hand in the privacy and comfort of your own home.

I meet with clients on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9am and 6pm EST. If needed, I’ll open up an 8am or 7pm on occasion.
While we typically meet at the same time each week, many of my clients who have experienced trauma benefit from meeting twice a week especially in the beginning.
We can schedule as many sessions as you need and you are always welcome to reach out anytime if you need to meet sooner than our next scheduled time. You are never a bother. It’s my pleasure to support you!

Therapy is incredibly meaningful and a wonderful investment in yourself. It is some of the most rewarding work you’ll ever do! The results are beyond worth it. I promise to be with you every step of the way, coaching you through it and helping you get the results you want. Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time therapy can take depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek therapy in the first place. Your active participation and dedication to the therapeutic process is crucial to your success. The more you put into your sessions, the more you will get from therapy. Additionally, the work you do outside of our sessions will really help you see your personal growth and development.
